Mix & Match bundles give customers flexibility to choose different products within the same bundle while still unlocking a discount. For example:

  • Pick any 3 different items → 10% off

  • Buy 5 different products → $20 off

  • Mix any 6 items from a collection → Pay $99 total

Step 1: Access to MBC Bundle Builder

  1. On your dashboard, navigate to MBC Bundle Builder

  2. Click to 'Create builder'

Step 2: Add products (or collections)

  1. Under Products, select whether to add specific Products or entire Collections.

  2. Click Add products and choose items that shoppers will be able to mix and match.

Step 3: Add product conditions (optional)

Conditions help control how customers build their Mix & Match bundle.

Examples:

  • Minimum number of productsNumber of products ≥ 3 → Customer must pick at least 3 items in total.

  • Minimum variety ruleNumber of different products ≥ 3 → Customer must select at least 3 different items.

  • Fixed box sizeNumber of products = 6 → Customer must choose exactly 6 items.

👉 These are optional but useful for ensuring customers create the kind of bundle you want (e.g., variety-based or fixed-size).

👉 These conditions apply to Steps (product selection part of the builder) — meaning they control whether a customer can complete the step before moving on.

💡 Important: They are different from discount conditions (which also offer Price, Number of products, and Number of different products, but those apply specifically to unlocking discounts, not moving forward in the bundle flow).

Step 4: Set Mix & Match pricing

  1. Scroll down to Builder pricing.

  2. Select Discount on total bundle price.

  3. Add one or multiple discount rates, depending on your offer.

Step 5: Add discount rates and conditions

Discount rates define how the savings apply. Mix & Match typically works best with Number of different products as the condition.

Examples:

  • Percentage-based Mix & Match

    • Discount rate 1: 10% off → Number of different products ≥ 3

    • Discount rate 2: 15% off → Number of different products ≥ 5

  • Fixed discount Mix & Match

    • Discount rate 1: $10 off → Number of different products ≥ 3

    • Discount rate 2: $20 off → Number of different products ≥ 6

  • Fixed price Mix & Match

    • Discount rate 1: $50 total → Number of different products = 5

    • Discount rate 2: $90 total → Number of different products = 10

👉 You can also use Number of products instead of Number of different products if your Mix & Match offer is purely quantity-driven rather than variety-driven.

  • Mix & Match = variety control → so the key condition is usually:

    • Number of different products ≥ X (e.g., “Pick any 3 different items”).

  • If you want to also allow flexibility:

    • Combine with Number of products ≥ X → ensures the total quantity is met.

    • Add a Price ≥ $Y condition → ensures customers spend a minimum amount.

👉 Together, these conditions give you everything needed for Mix & Match setups.

Example setup:

  • Step condition: Number of different products ≥ 3 → customer must pick at least 3 different items.

  • Discount condition: Price ≥ $50 → 10% off.

Step 6: Save and test

  • Click Save.

  • Use Preview to test the bundle:

    • Confirm that customers can add different products.

    • Check that discount conditions trigger correctly when variety thresholds are met.

    • Make sure higher discounts replace lower ones if multiple tiers exist.
