BYOB (Build Your Own Bundle) is a sales model where customers can pick and choose products or services they want, instead of buying a fixed package.

Here are the steps to create BYOB in MBC Bundle Builder:

Step 1: Access to MBC Bundle Builder

  1. On your dashboard, navigate to MBC Bundle Builder

  2. Click to 'Create builder'

Step 2: Add product (or collections)

  1. Under Products, select whether you want to add specific Products or entire Collections.

  2. Click Add products and choose the items customers can include in their box.

If you select products option, then you can mark some products as required. Meaning, your shoppers won’t be able to finish the bundle without adding them.

Step 3: Add conditions (optional)

Conditions help you guide how customers build their box.

Adding conditions is optional. Use conditions only if you want to limit or define how many items go into the box (e.g., exactly 4 products).

Example: Fixed number of products

  • Go to Step conditions.

  • Add a condition → Number of products is equal to 4.

  • This requires customers to add exactly 4 products to finish building their box.

Example: Minimum number of products

  • Add a condition → Number of products is greater than or equal to 3.

  • This means customers must add at least 3 products, but they can choose more if they wish.

  1. Without conditions

    • Customers can add any number of products from the step.

    • The bundle will work with no limits.

    • This is good if you want maximum flexibility (e.g., “Pick as many items as you like”).

  2. With conditions

    • You control how many products must or can be added.

    • Example: Number of products is equal to 4 → forces exactly 4 products in the box.

    • Example: Number of products is greater than or equal to 3 → customers must add at least 3 products.

    • This is useful if your box size is fixed or if discounts apply only when certain thresholds are met.

Step 4: Set pricing

Scroll down to Builder pricing and choose how you want to handle discounts:

  • No discount → bundle uses regular product prices.

  • Percentage discount → apply a discount on the total bundle (e.g., 10% off the box).

  • Fixed discount → apply a discount on the total bundle (e.g., $8 off the box).

You can also add conditions for discounts.

  • These conditions decide when a discount applies.

  • Example:

    • Number of products ≥ 3 + Discount = $8 off.

    • Price ≥ $100 + Discount = 15% off.

    • Number of different products ≥ 5 + Discount = bundle price fixed at $99.

👉 Pricing conditions = rules for unlocking discounts.

💡 Example

If you want to create a BYOB where customers must choose exactly 4 products and get a discount only if they spend at least $100:

  • Step condition: Number of products = 4.

  • Discount condition: Price ≥ $100 → 10% off.

Step 5: Save and test

  1. Click Save.

  2. Use Preview to walk through the BYOB flow.

    • Check that conditions (like 4 items required) are enforced.

    • Confirm that discounts (if added) apply correctly.
