This setting lets you show customers how many units of a product variant are still available while they are building their bundle. It is useful for stores that sell limited stock, made-to-order items, or products where customers often try to add more units than you actually have.
How to show inventory levels
In your Shopify admin, go to MBC Bundle Builder → Settings → Product display
Check the box Show inventory levels. The available stock quantity will be displayed for selected product variants.
Save your changes.
What customers see
When the setting is enabled, the remaining quantity appears next to the product or variant in the builder — for example "12 in stock". The number comes directly from Shopify's inventory, so it always reflects your current stock level without any extra setup.
When the setting is disabled (the default), no quantity is shown. Customers can still add products to the bundle exactly as before — only the stock number is hidden.
Good to know
Inventory levels are shown for selected product variants. If a product has several variants, the quantity updates as the customer switches between them.
The quantity comes from the location(s) assigned to your online store's inventory in Shopify.
Products that are not tracked in Shopify inventory will not display a quantity.
This setting only controls the display of stock numbers. To control whether out of stock products appear in the builder at all, use the Product availability setting instead. See: Out Of Stock Settings (Display out-of-stock products).
When to use it
Enable it to create urgency on low-stock items and to reduce the number of customers who try to build a bundle you can't fulfil.
Keep it disabled if you carry high inventory and prefer not to reveal stock quantities to customers or competitors.
